Chet Hardin is a journalist who specializes in reporting on bad ideas and worse people.
He is the author of The Vampire's Cult: The Untold Story of Obsession, Control, and a Shocking Small-Town Murder, published by Sourcebooks and slated for release on August 4th, 2026. He is also the co-author of Toni Natalie's 2019 memoir The Program: Inside The Mind of Keith Raniere and The Rise and Fall of NXIVM.
In addition to his years in the newspaper industry, writing for altweeklies in Colorado and New York, Chet has worked in construction, politics, coffee, and technology.
Born in a small town fifteen minutes outside of Pumpkin Center, Chet has traveled the country, and now lives with his artist wife and any number of cats in Saint Louis, Missouri.
